First rising to prominence in the early 2000’s, Puerto Rican cubensis is supposedly a landrace originating from Puerto Rico. Interestingly enough, RogerRabbit used Puerto Rican cubensis to revive and stabilize the classic strain Redboy, showing the variety may be a good candidate for future crosses! This variety of the Cubensis species should still have plenty of diversity to offer interesting research results. A fascinating option for any hobbyist mycology researcher.
